HIROSHIMA YEAH!, Issue #96, February 2013 These “summer” CD singles from Micky and Dan are arriving later and later (this time, due to copywriting problems) but that’s okay 'cause they bring a little bit of Californian sunshine to these cold winter months. “Known” is a jaunty ditty with plenty of “do da de” moments and lyrics about “mak(ing) our voices known” and “hav(ing) our freak flags flown”, a feel-good anthem of sorts, and with really good faux theremin effects to boot! “Better Tomorrows” is kinda feel-good too, despite starting off with the line “Trapped in a black box of fear”, although it soon reminds us that “love will always remain” and invites us to “hope for better tomorrows”.
